Woran könnte das denn liegen? Brauch ich ne neue Lizenz?

Nicht unterstützte Java Version, oder fehlerhafte Alpha Version. Bitte nur unterstütze release Versionen von Java installieren.

Dann müsste was im Installer defekt sein hab java via installer installiert.

Welcher Installer? Das Skript prüft einfach nur, ob es ein Java Paket gibt. Wenn die Paketquellen auch Alpha Versionen beinhalten (was schrecklich wäre, aber leider schon bei Ubuntu gesehen), kann das Skript das nicht feststellen.

Achso ich hab 16.04 neu aufgesetzt.. naja muss ich wohl manuell machen

Jup, 16.04 hat eine Pre-Alpha Version von Java 9 drin. Die ist inzwischen 15 Monate alt und hat mehr Bugs und Sicherheitslücken, als ich zählen kann.
